Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supitr Samahito, Vice President of the National Olympic Committee of Thailand and Deputy Chef de Mission of the Thailand Team of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, has revealed the preparations of the Thai national team for the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris 2024, which will take place from July 26 to August 11, 2024, in Paris, France.
The Paris 2024 Olympic Games will mark the 33rd edition of the event and the third time Paris has hosted, previously in 1900 and 1924. This will be the first time the Games will be held in multiple locations throughout the city, involving iconic landmarks such as Stade de France, the Eiffel Tower, and the Seine River, to engage the public more widely.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supitr stated that the Thai national team has been preparing extensively, with intensive training sessions and support from various sectors, including the establishment of specialized training centers, the integration of sports science and technology into training, and creating a conducive environment for athletes.

In addition to physical preparation, psychological readiness has also been emphasized, with counseling from psychology experts to ensure athletes are confident and can handle the pressure of competition effectively.
The 2024 Olympic Games will feature over 329 events across 32 sports, including popular sports like athletics, swimming, and gymnastics, as well as new additions like skateboarding and surfing, which are gaining popularity in modern times.
The Thai national team aims to win as many medals as possible, with several athletes expected to be potential medalists, including those in athletics, weightlifting, and boxing, who have previously made their mark on the global stage.
This event also emphasizes sustainability and environmental conservation, with organizers designing and constructing venues to be eco-friendly and utilizing renewable energy for event management, making the Paris 2024 Olympic Games one of the most sustainable and environmentally friendly in history.
