Kasetsart University proudly announces that its students and alumni are participating in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Notably, Second Lieutenant Chanatip Sonkham, also known as Coach Lek, who is currently a student in the Department of Sports and Health Management, Faculty of Sports and Health Science, serves as the coach of the Thai national taekwondo team.
The Paris 2024 Olympics, scheduled to take place from July 26 to August 11, 2024, is the world’s most significant sporting event, bringing together athletes from all corners of the globe to compete in various sports, including taekwondo—a sport that is highly popular and closely followed in Thailand.
The taekwondo competition at this Olympics will be held at the newly constructed Arena Porte de La Chapelle in Paris, designed to host athletes and spectators from around the world. Under the leadership of Coach Lek, the Thai team aims to secure medals by showcasing the skill and potential of the well-trained Thai athletes.
The participation of Kasetsart University’s students and alumni in the Paris 2024 Olympics underscores the university’s excellence in fostering top-tier athletes and coaches who contribute significantly to the nation’s sporting achievements.
